Dermatology
Moisa Wave and UV Smart came to us as two dermatology products with strong clinical formulations sitting inside packaging that was not working hard enough on the shelf. Both brands are part of the Mankind Pharma portfolio, which meant the standard we were designing to was not a small brand’s tolerance for good enough. It was a pharmaceutical company’s expectation of category leadership.
Packaging in the derma and skincare space has undergone a fundamental shift. The consumer standing in a pharmacy or scrolling a quick commerce listing is making a split-second decision based almost entirely on visual trust. Clinical efficacy means nothing if the pack does not communicate it in the two seconds it has to make an impression.
The overhaul we led transitioned both product lines to a premium, shelf-ready aesthetic that held the clinical authority the formulations deserved. Every design decision was made around two simultaneous goals — elevating the perceived value of the product at first glance, and making the functional benefits of each range immediately readable without requiring the consumer to work for the information.
Moisa Wave’s hydration positioning and UV Smart’s sun protection credentials were both given visual languages distinct enough to own their respective shelves while cohesive enough to sit together as a unified Mankind Pharma derma portfolio.
